Managing Student Attendance Submissions

As the event creator, you are responsible for reviewing and approving or rejecting student attendance submissions.


Accessing Attendance Submissions from the Portal

  1. Click Events on the navigation bar, then select Manage Events.
  2. Identify the event you want to manage.
  3. Click the Gear icon on the event card.
  4. Select Manage Attendance Submission.

Note: Only the event creator will see this option in the dropdown list.



Viewing Submitted Attendance Records

You will see a list of all students who have submitted their attendance for the event.

  • If Achievement was selected under LEAPS for the event, students will be required to fill in their Involvement Name as part of their submission.

Approving or Rejecting a Student’s Attendance

  1. Identify the student whose attendance you want to manage.
  2. Click the Gear icon under the Actions column.
  3. Select Attendance Approved or Attendance Rejected.

IdeaTip:
When you reject a student’s submission, the student will receive an email notification prompting them to update their attendance information correctly.


Managing Attendance via Email Notification

You may also receive an email titled “Attendance Pending Approval”.

  1. Click on the student’s name or link in the email.
  2. You will be taken to a page showing the student’s submission.
  3. Click the Gear icon under the Actions column.
  4. Select Attendance Approved or Attendance Rejected.

InfoSecurity Notice:
Do not share this link. Anyone with access to the link will be able to manage the student’s submission without logging in.


Approving or rejecting attendance updates the student’s official record and may affect their journal, achievements, and reporting.
