Using the Navigation Bar

The navigation bar is your main menu for accessing different features on the Talent Development Portal. Below is a quick guide to what each item does.

Feature

Description

Articles

Purpose: Access and manage written resources hosted on the portal.


Functionality: Admins can create, edit, and publish articles related to student development, events, or announcements. These can include reflections, interviews, learning stories, or other school highlights.

Events

Purpose: Create and manage school events, workshops, and competitions.

Functionality: Admins and teachers can add new events, set capacity limits, assign instructors, and manage student sign-ups. Events can be tagged with relevant LEAPS domains and tracked for reporting purposes.

Students

Purpose: Search for and view students.

Functionality: View students' individual profiles, write student notes, and download their Blackmore Xperience Journals.

Surveys

Purpose: Collect post-event feedback from students to understand their experience and list them in their tagged events.

Functionality: Create and manage surveys linked to specific events, view submitted responses, and export data for reporting and analysis.

Groups

Purpose: Create and view existing target groups.

Functionality: Create new student groupings for events, and manage existing groupings

Wall Feed (Bell Icon)

Purpose: View updates, system alerts, and announcements.


Notifications may include new event sign-ups, approval, or reminders. Click any item to open the related page directly.

Menu

Your Profile: View and update your personal account details, including profile photo and department.

Dashboard: Access your main dashboard for a quick overview of reports, activities and alerts.

Manage Journals: If the students from your class submit external event data, this is where you can manage them.

Log Out: Securely end your session on Blackmore Academy X.

Knowledge Base (? Icon)
